The essential mobile sensation Downwell has its sights set on Nintendo Switch. The game will be making its way to the eShop sometime soon, according to an announcement during the Japanese Nintendo Direct on Thursday. Publisher Devolver Digital took to social media to confirm the port in the West as well.Downwell by @moppppin is headed to Nintendo Switch! #NintendoDirectJP pic.twitter.com/jDaUn1pYaj— Devolver Digital (@devolverdigital) September 13, 2018 Downwell originally debuted on iOS way back in 2015. It’s a reverse roguelike platformer of sorts. Instead of jumping up, you’re falling down an endless well, killing enemies and destroying obstacles in your path. It’s quite challenging, and Downwell offers a unique spin on a classic genre. We liked it so much we gave it a Gold Award. Oh, and did we mention there are gunboots? There’s no word on a release date just yet, but stay tuned. In the meantime, be sure to catch up on all of the exciting news Nintendo spoiled us with during this week’s Nintendo Direct.
