happy ending of Black Friday night amnesiaFunction introduction
Encamped in hearts, but fighting outwardly.
A VERY POOR MAN, a Carpenter by trade, had a wooden image of Mercury, before which he made offerings day by day, and begged the idol to make him rich, but in spite of his entreaties he became poorer and poorer. At last, being very angry, he took his image down from its pedestal and dashed it against the wall. When its head was knocked off, out came a stream of gold, which the Carpenter quickly picked up and said, "Well, I think thou art altogether contradictory and unreasonable; for when I paid you honor, I reaped no benefits: but now that I maltreat you I am loaded with an abundance of riches."
Russian Rider Online(Mod menu)Captain Jim was buried in the little over-harbor graveyard, very near to the spot where the wee white lady slept. His relatives put up a very expensive, very ugly "monument"--a monument at which he would have poked sly fun had he seen it in life. But his real monument was in the hearts of those who knew him, and in the book that was to live for generations.
"Cried and said she `didn't think.' I says to her, says I, `Do you s'pose that'll be held for a good excuse in the day of Jedgment, when you'll have to account for that poor old mother's life? The Lord'll ask you what He give you your brains for if it wasn't to think, I reckon.' I don't fancy she'll leave cats to starve another time."
"I did--once. I had gone down to the Point to go fishing with Captain Jim but it was too rough to go out, so I came back. She had taken the opportunity of what she expected to be an afternoon alone to wash her hair, and she was standing on the veranda in the sunshine to dry it. It fell all about her to her feet in a fountain of living gold. When she saw me she hurried in, and the wind caught her hair and swirled it all around her--Danae in her cloud. Somehow, just then the knowledge that I loved her came home to me--and realised that I had loved her from the moment I first saw her standing against the darkness in that glow of light. And she must live on here--petting and soothing Dick, pinching and saving for a mere existence, while I spend my life longing vainly for her, and debarred, by that very fact, from even giving her the little help a friend might. I walked the shore last night, almost till dawn, and thrashed it all out over and over again. And yet, in spite of everything, I can't find it in my heart to be sorry that I came to Four Winds. It seems to me that, bad as everything is, it would be still worse never to have known Leslie. It's burning, searing pain to love her and leave her--but not to have loved her is unthinkable. I suppose all this sounds very crazy--all these terrible emotions always do sound foolish when we put them into our inadequate words. They are not meant to be spoken--only felt and endured. I shouldn't have spoken--but it has helped-- some. At least, it has given me strength to go away respectably tomorrow morning, without making a scene. You'll write me now and then, won't you, Mrs. Blythe, and give me what news there is to give of her?"
Have of my suffering youth some feeling pity,
<p>Big-time American rapper Kanye West went on a fleeting rant on Twitter last Friday. The subject was a favourite of ours. Yes, microtransactions.</p><p>Here's his series of condemning tweets on the topic:<p>Fuck any game company that puts in-app purchases on kids games!!!— KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) October 10, 2015 As you can see, this first tweet set the precedent.</p><p><p>That makes no sense!!! We give the iPad to our child and every 5 minutes there's a new purchase!!!" — KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) October 10, 2015This second tweet suggests that Kanye's daughter North West had used some of daddy's money to buy in-game items when given the iPad. That may have been the trigger for these tweets.</p><p><p>If a game is made for a 2 year old, just allow them to have fun and give the parents a break for Christ sake.— KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) October 10, 2015 And finally, to finish the rant, Kanye calls for action. He wants microtransactions to be taken out of games aimed at kids.</p>Gold digger<p>He's not the only one. Over the past couple of years we've seen a number of stories about kids who have blown thousands of pounds on in-app purchases inside mobile games.</p><p>One kid even managed to spend as much as $2,500 in 10 minutes while playing Zombie v Ninja. That's nuts. At first, Apple refused to give the parents a refund, too. But then changed its decision.</p><p>Subsequently, the topic has been explored in-depth such as Richard Stanton's in-depth article "Selling candy to babies."</p><p>But has much happened since the uproar and research?</p><p>Well, yes, actually. Apple agreed to pay over $32.5 million to refund in-app purchases made by kids in iOS games aimed at their age range back in January 2014.</p><p>Apple also added the "Pay One and Play" section to the App Store to promote games that only charged upfront and didn't have any microtransactions.</p><p>And, if you didn't know, it's also possible to disable microtransactions on your iPad or iPhone in the Settings (Here's a quick how-to).</p><p>Despite that, it seems that these kids games stuffed with microtransactions are still out there. And without parents being more vigilant around kids while playing these games they're going to continue spending their parents money.</p><p>If it happened to Kanye West last week, and his angry tweets suggests it did, then he's only the latest among many.</p><p>The recent attention he's brought to the subject asks if more should be done about microtransactions in games and apps aimed at kids.</p>"I don't stand on ceremony, Mistress Blythe," he told Anne. "It's a real pleasure to me to come here, and I'm not going to deny myself jest because you haven't got down to see me. There oughtn't to be no bargaining like that among the race that knows Joseph. I'll come when I can, and you come when you can, and so long's we have our pleasant little chat it don't matter a mite what roof's over us."

<p>Having just released the third instalment of action-packed Shadow Fight, Nekki already has eyes on its next big project. You may remember 11x11, a browser-based football manager game launched by the Russian developer in 2008. Despite making the transition to mobile only last year, it faces a dramatic overhaul ahead of 2018’s World Cup.</p><p>The first 11x11 on mobile sticks faithfully to the browser game’s guns, even down to the retro 2D graphics. The throwback theme hasn’t dissuaded players - the game has been downloaded over a million times since its release. Even so, Nekki will celebrate its home country’s first time hosting the World Cup by flinging 11x11 kicking and scoring into the 21st century. Gone will be the pancake-flat footy shirts floating around a snooker table. Instead, players – with limbs and everything – will run around on freshly mowed pitches fully rendered in glorious 3D. There will even be real-time PVP matches. It’s a whole new ballgame.</p>
"Isn't there something odd about his eyes?" asked Anne.<p>Again with the short stream notice? Yeah we know, we know. But, we hope you can forgive us when we reveal that tonight, James Gilmour will once again be striding the wartorn battlefields of an alternate history steampunk Europe in the awesome Scythe. When will he be doing it? Live from 5pm UK time tonight. So that's pretty exciting.</p><p>If you need more info about Scythe, don't you fret. We've streamed the game before, and since we like you the best, we've embedded one of those streams below. Give it a watch and you'll probably know as much about the game as James does, which is the perfect amount of knowledge to have fun with tonight.</p>
"Indeed I will, if she'll let me," said Anne, with all her own sweet, impulsive earnestness.<p>As of May 20th, the Nintendo 2DS will retail for $79.99 in North America.</p><p>There's no announcement on whether this price drop will come to other territories, but as we build towards Nintendo's forthcoming NX console, it's safe to assume this is a last-ditch effort from the company to sell the platform.</p><p>What's more, some systems will come pre-installed with a copy of the phenomenal Mario Kart 7 to sweeten the deal.</p><p>The platform released to mixed reviews, and sales for the 2DS have been mostly underwhelming.</p><p>Last reported sales figures were 2.1 million back in 2014, a mere drop in the ocean compared to the 58.2 million units the 3DS has sold.</p><p>Still, this is a nice entry point for any would-be Nintendo gamer and you have full access to the full 3DS range, which includes gems like Pokemon X & Y, Monster Hunter 4, Majora's Mask, Super Smash Bros, and so many more.</p><p>On top of all that, it's been revealed that Disney Magic World 2 will release on October 14th, and Style Savvy: Fashion Forward hits on August 19th.</p>Will you pick up a 2DS at this price? Holding out for a New 3DS price drop?
