<p>Nintendo's Twitter page confirmed earlier today that the RPG/sports game hybrid Golf Story is bringing its unique mix of genres to Switch this Thursday.</p><p>While most golf games only focus on the club-swinging action, Golf Story follows your golfer's journey on and off the course. The 2D golfing may be familiar, but it's only a facet of your possibilities, as you explore various towns, met and help whimsical characters, use your golf skills to solve puzzles, and tee off anywhere to experiment with environmental interactions.</p><p>Off the course, you need to upgrade your golfer and purchase better equipment, while engaging in special challenges such as mini golf, drone racing, and geocaching.</p><p>Golf Story will cost £13.49 when it releases on the 28th.</p><p>If you're partial to a bit of war strategy, it may interest you to know that World of Warships Blitz has soft launched on iOS in the Philippines.</p><p>Based on the award-winning PC game with the same name, World of Warships Blitz is a World War 2 naval strategy game which aims to deliver fast-paced action on a portable platform.</p><p>Launch your artillery and control a series of Battleships, Cruisers, Destroyers, and Aircraft carriers. <p>Just over a month after it was released on Android, tactical JRPG Record of Agarest War Zero is available on iOS.</p><p>And, as it's Thanksgiving in the US right now, publisher HyperDevbox has put a half-price discount on the game until December 4th.</p><p>That means you can purchase it right now for £5.49 / $7.99 rather than the full price of £10.49 / $14.99. You can pick that one up for £4.99 / $6.99 right now instead of £10.49 / $14.99 on the App Store [buy] and Google Play [buy].</p><p>Game director Taro Yoko has revealed that he almost began work on a PlayStation Vita port of the original Nier. It almost happened.</p><p>Talking in an interview with Famitsu, alongside project producer Yosuke Saito, Yoko said that back in March 2011 there were talks about doing something with Nier, to bring it to more people.</p><p>The best idea at the time was to bring it to PS Vita with "some kind of [new] element," according to Saito.</p><p>The proposal was to work in tandem with a company called Orca for this port but Square Enix instead decided that Orca would work on Dragon Quest X.</p><p>That's as far as the PS Vita port went.</p><p>Of course, it wouldn't be the end of Nier as it was announced at E3 this year that a sequel is in development for PS4. No PS Vita plans for this sequel, though.</p><p>Oh, and if you watched the announcement at E3, then you would have seen a guy with a creepy Emil mask on.
